Compositing Lead

Position Requirements:
- Demo reel that shows strong artistic skills including a strong sense of color, lighting, perspective, scale, and composition
- Excellent attention to detail and desire to deliver consistently high quality work, and encourage those around you to the same standards
- The desire and passion to learn, be better, and help others around you grow
- General problem solving skills
- Understanding the limitations of your knowledge and seeking expert advice when appropriate
- Good communication (fluent in English and/or German) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work within a strong team environment

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Staffing recommendations in collaboration with Head of 2d, Production and HR
- Interviews and reviews potential candidates with Production when requested
- Look development or delegates to compositing team
- Attends Dailies and follows up with team regarding their notes, fixes, etc.
- Monitors shot and sequence progress and informs Production
- Color, timing and management of sequence continuity
- Identifies problems and effectively implements solutions
- Quality control on his team’s composites
- Mentors less experienced artists
- Upon completion of project if requested:
- Documentation and element archiving
- Provides in-depth feedback of compositing crew to Production

Job Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years experience
- Understanding of photography, composition, lighting, color and motion
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Strong communication skills
- Time Management and organizational skills
- Aesthetically and creatively capable of producing high-quality images
- Professional in all dealings with Production, Sup and crew
- Team player who takes direction well
- Expert knowledge of Nuke and 3D compositing in Nuke
- Knowledge of After Effects is a plus
- Dependable under pressure with attention to detail

Additional Requirements:
You will also be required to have a work permit and permission to live in Germany if you are a non-EU citizen
